The program measures and tracks new life risk sales, inforce premium and lapsed premium of individual financial advisers across all providers used for IP and lump sum separately as well as across all product types. This is done on a quarterly basis dating back to 1 January 2018. This market analysis and segmentation is undertaken using adviser-level transaction data provided by insurers and aggregated by Beddoes into a market database.
The deliverables for insurers include:
A Tagged Database. Each insurer receives their adviser database back, augmented with the total market premium value ($), the insurer’s share of wallet and each adviser’s market segment for 1) new business, lapsed and inforce premium.
Australian Market Dashboard. Adviser segments are described in an Australian Market Dashboard report and new business, lapsed and inforce premium trends over time are shown for the overall market as well as for different segments (e.g. AFSLs, states and insurers).
